The Groesbeck Goats took a 2-0 lead at the start of their home game with the No. 7 ranked Mexia Blackcats. From there, the crimson and black would move ahead and that’s where they stayed to the very end of their 75-59 district win over their longtime rivals on Tuesday, Jan. 14.

The Coolidge Ladyjackets basketball team lost at home to Penelope on Tuesday, Jan. 14 by a final tally of 30-26. With the loss, Coolidge falls to 4-3 within District 24-1A, Division 3.
