The Mexia Independent School District Board of Trustees approved actions at the Monday, Feb. 21, meeting to kick off three projects to address the improvement of campus security, the purchase of three new buses and to update the technical infrastructure.

This Mexia High School 17-yearold junior likes to learn and compete in various areas of academia and vocational skills.The fact is, according to her Principal John Griggs, she is good with most of what she endeavors and she likes challenges.

One retired Mexia teacher is enjoying her observation of Black History Month, not only because of her heritage, of which she is proud, but because she was a part of Mexia history.
