The Texas Draft Horse and Mule Association held its 14th annual Play Day at the Limestone County Fairgrounds on Saturday, Oct. 26. Those attending enjoyed 18 timed classes featuring draft horses and mules, including obstacle courses, farm team events, barrels, and cones, both under saddle and driving.
Early voting attracted 47 percent of Limestone County’s 14,441 registered voters to the polls.
The Meals on Wheels program in Limestone County, serving thousands of meals each year to homebound senior citizens and disabled residents, faces rising demand and funding constraints.
A couple remains in Limestone County Jail in lieu of $4,000 bond each on assault charges following two altercations before 5 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Charlie’s Burger and Grill.
