The Mexia Ladycats volleyball team won in straight sets over visiting Buffalo on Tuesday night, 25-20, 25-23, 25-22.

Two early turnovers in the first quarter led to two Mexia Blackcat touchdowns, as the crimson and black cruised to a 41-13 win over the Groesbeck Goats to win the 82nd Battle of the River football game. The win also snapped a two-game losing streak for the Blackcats in the series.
