The Wortham Lady Bulldogs suffered a four-set home defeat to Axtell on Friday, 21-25, 25-21, 14-25, 16-25. The loss drops Wortham’s district record to 1-2.
The Wortham Bulldogs football team suffered a blowout road loss Friday night, Oct. 4. They were handled 60-30 by the Bremond Tigers. Now 3-2 overall, the loss drops Wortham’s district mark to 1-1.
Mexia verses Groesbeck is a high school football rivalry that dates back to 1901. On Friday, the two clubs will meet on the gridiron for the 80th time.
