Wortham knocks off district leader Axtell 3-1

The Wortham Lady Bulldogs volleyball team traveled to Axtell on Friday evening and issued the firstplace Ladyhorns their first district defeat of the season. Wortham topped Axtell in four sets, 20-25, 2624, 25-15, and 27-25. In the process, Wortham avenged a 3-1 home loss to Axtell on Oct. 4. The victory clinched a first-place finish for the Lady Bulldogs in District 14-2A Division 2.
