WILLIAM EDDIE CHRISNER

William Eddie Chrisner, longtime Mexia businessman and resident, passed away following a lengthy illness, complicated by COVID, on Dec. 12, 2020, at the age of 76. Eddie was born on March 3, 1944, in Mexia, to Buster and Velma Chrisner. He attended Mexia High School, Class of ’63, where he was a member of the marching band. While also in high school, he became known as “Fast Eddie” to his classmates and everyone who knew him. Eddie briefly attended Navarro College and Southwest Texas State University.

Donna Moore Dawley, of Groesbeck, went home to her Lord and Savior on Dec. 7, 2020. She passed at Limestone Medical Center after a strong and courageous fight against cancer. She was 64 years of age.

BOBBY LEE JACOBS

Bobby Lee Jacobs, longtime respected and admired father, teacher, coach, mayor and businessman of Coolidge, passed away at his home, surrounded by his family, on Dec. 4, 2020, at the age of 88. Visitation with the family was to be from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. A graveside service was to be held at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 8, at the Coolidge Cemetery with Brother Mike Smith officiating. Drew Jacobs, Bradley Bruckner, Jeffrey Nash, Ricky Davis, Bob Shirley, Mark Chapman and Terry Dan Greer were to serve as pallbearers.
