WHS places second at UIL One Act Play
The Wortham High School UIL Drama Cast placed second in its recent performance of “A Toby Show,” written by Aurand Harris. The one-act play was performed for UIL competition in Mart.

This week at Mexia Long Term Care we started off with Bible study on Monday morning. Residents played bingo on Monday afternoon. Residents enjoyed Bible study reading on the halls on Tuesday morning. Residents had their Residents’ Council meeting on Tuesday afternoon.

City names its Parks director
A longtime Mexia resident is the new Parks Department supervisor. Chandler Forge already is on the job, fulfilling his duties of maintaining local parks, the new sports complex and other areas owned by the city.
