Limestone County Historical Commission got the good news that the city of Mexia, the city of Groesbeck, and Limestone County had all voted to support the possible transfer of Old Fort Parker to the Texas Historical Commission. It will be up to the THC to determine whether it is willing to take over the site.
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department has launched the long-awaited Monarch Butterfly conservation license plate that will raise money to help conserve monarch butterflies and other native Texas, non-game, at-risk species.
