It is an opportunity to recognize all who served in the United States Armed Forces, said Commander Roger Brooke, of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5872 in Fairfield. “It’s to honor the veterans who have served,” Brooke said. “It’s different from Memorial Day because that’s for the ones who have already sacrificed all. This is to honor all branches.”
