Mexia Garden Club President Patty Manley awarded the Club’s Civic Pride award for September-October to Mexia’s Richard Sadler. Lovely flowers were spotted beneath the sign on this very warm day. An oleander bush is on the corner of the sidewalk. Boxwoods complete the flowerbeds. The grass was green and a pleasure to see.
The deadline is fast approaching for young adults who were once in foster care or are currently in extended care to apply for direct federal funding intended to help them weather the financial challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
