(StatePoint) Childcare is essential for families across the United States. Millions of children attend childcare every day, and millions of parents and caregivers rely on it. While advocates and many Americans agree that care should be accessible and affordable to all who need it, there’s a fast-approaching deadline that could put that at risk.
This week at Mexia LTC we started the week with Bible Study provided by Irma Carranza on Monday morning. Residents played bingo that afternoon. Residents enjoyed Bible group with Bob Kersten on Tuesday morning. Residents had their Residents’ Council meeting and enjoyed ice cream on Tuesday afternoon. Residents will have their exercise group on Wednesday morning and play bingo that afternoon. Residents will play ring toss on Thursday morning and bean bag toss on Thursday afternoon. Residents will enjoy getting manicures on Friday morning and play bingo that afternoon. Residents will have worship services on Sunday morning and enjoy Church services either online or on TV Sunday evening.
Tehuacana Baptist Church is preparing to celebrate the congregation’s 100th anniversary, on Sunday morning, Oct. 15, with a special service at 10 a.m. The members are also putting together a written history of the church.
Limestone County is unique in having a no-kill animal shelter in LARAS House, since many other shelters put down their dogs after a short time.
