The Mexia volleyball team lost in four sets at Buffalo in a District 20-3Amatch on Tuesday. The match was the first in the second round of district play. The first two sets were close as the Ladycats battled the Lady Bison. However, Buffalo prevailed in both games to take a 2-0 lead in the match. Buffalo squeaked out a 25-23 win in the opener and came back with a 25-22 decision in round two.
Mexia football coah Aaron Nowell’s Blackcats were victimized by some overtime lightning two weeks ago. On Friday night, the coach decided to take the bull by the horns and create some lightning of his own.
