PERRY LYNN BANKS

Perry Lynn Banks was born in Odessa to Annie Earl Forge and J.D. Banks. The family moved to Mexia in 1973. Perry was the youngest of six children. Perry attended schools in Mexia, but he graduated from The Jobs Corps in San Marcos, where he received a certification as a butcher. Perry was a loving and kind person. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing. His passion was building and restoring furniture. He started his own company in 2011, called Perry’s Furniture Repair. He had many good jobs, went to a lot of places and met a lot of great people. He had numerous stories to tell and always with a smile. Perry was offered a job

Debbie Sue Nash

Debbie Sue Nash was born Sept. 2, 1955, in Corsicana, to Bobby Lee Jacobs and Patsy Jo Jacobs. Debbie attended Oakwood ISD until her junior year when the family moved to Coolidge. Debbie graduated a year early in 1972 even though she walked with her original class in 1973.

Barbara Evelyn Jones

Barbara Evelyn Jones, of Mart, passed away April 22, 2022, in Waco, at the age of 83. Funeral services were at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, at the Prairie Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Smith officiating.

JOE C. EAKIN III

Joe C. Eakin III was born in Waco on July 27, 1931, to Anne Pearl Wiggins Eakin and Joe Cecil Eakin Jr. He passed into eternity on April 14, 2022. His childhood was spent in Waco, Chilton and Marlin, where he graduated from Marlin High School in 1949. He entered Baylor University in 1949, majoring in history, and married Meriam Elder in 1953 in Kilgore. He graduated from Baylor University in 1954 and continued his education, receiving a bachelor of Divinity in 1957 from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kent. He pastored Baptist churches in East Sabine, Tenaha and Mexia. He and his wife moved to Tyler in 1989 where they have been longtime members and supporters of Marvin United Methodist Church.
