Mauricio Alvarado 15, passed away April 15, 2020. He was born Dec. 21, 2004, in Hillsboro to Basilio and Marisela Alvarado. He grew up in Mexia and attended Mexia schools. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m., Friday, June 19, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Mexia Cemetery.
Kate Freeman Moore, of Ben Wheeler, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 13, 2020, at the age of 94. Funeral services were held, Tuesday, June 16, at Blair-Stubbs Chapel, with the Rev. Daniel Claxton officiating. Interment was in the Old Bethel Cemetery.
Iva Laressa McMinn-Archibald, 79, of Mexia, went home to her heavenly Father on June 12, 2020. She passed away peacefully at Skilled Care of Mexia. Funeral services were held Sunday, June 14, at Temple Baptist Church in Mexia, with Brother Michael Vestal and Jerry Fulton officiating. Interment followed at Lost Prairie Cemetery. Visitation was held Saturday, June 13, at Corley-Porter Funeral Home.
