Charles Nicholson Holmes, of Mexia, entered his heavenly home on July 6, 2021, at the age of 92. Private funeral services were held at Sardis Baptist Church on Friday, July 9, with the Rev. Jerry Fulton officiating. Interment was in the Sardis Cemetery. Pallbearers were his grandsons and great-grandsons.

James Ray Richards, of Mexia, passed away June 16, 2021, at the age of 69. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 10, at the Mexia Family Church, with Pastor Jacob Kyle officiating.

Gerald Robert “Bobby” Futch, 80, of Mexia, passed away on July 2, 2021, at Providence Medical Center in Waco. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 10, at 1 p.m. at Jones Funeral Services Chapel, with the Rev. Marcus Sheffield officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Mexia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday evening, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
