TROY GENE KELLEY

Troy Gene Kelley passed away at his home on Feb. 7, 2021, at the age of 73. He was born Feb. 8, 1947, in Navarro County, to George A. and Gladys (Howell) Kelley. He worked for Dugan Trailer Company in Groesbeck for many years prior to their closure.

Troy loved the country and enjoyed the simple things in life. He very easy going, never met a stranger, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to any, and everyone, it didn’t matter if he knew them or not. Troy had many friends in the Limestone County area and beyond.

Troy was a handyman when it came to working on anything mechanical. He seemed to really enjoy working on lawnmowers, more/ less, as a hobby. However, his favorite pastime was finding a good tank or river to fish in, as often as possible.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Gladys Kelley; and brothers, Ollie Gene, Kenneth, Junior, Marvin and Bill Kelley.

Troy is survived by his two sisters, Judy Stevens of Coolidge and Sue O’Pry of Oakwood; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no public service.
