TAMICA L. JARRETT

Tamica L. Jarrett was born Aug. 21, 1975, in Marshall to Calvin C. Fortson Jr. and Anna Marie Jarrett. Tamica graduated from Itasca High School, class of 1994, and attended Remington College. She was employed with Johnson County Sheriff Department for more than 10 years, where she worked as a correctional officer. Tamica loved her job and her work family. She accepted Christ at an early age and united with Bethlehem Baptist Church of Itasca. She later joined Macedonia Baptist Church of Hubbard.

Tamica was the loving mother to Treveous “Koo” Brown and grandmother to Zakirah “Choc” Brown and Javon “Bam” Brown. She also had a special bond with all of her nieces and nephews in which they would also agree. Tamica was very private person but when it came to family and close friends, she was the life of the party. She loved her old school Blues music, Zydeco, and she wanted everything “blingy and bedazzled!”

On Nov. 17, 2021, in Waco, Tamica left this earth on the Wings of Angels. She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin C. Fortson Jr. and Anna Marie Jarrett; sister, Kawana Waters; grandparents and a host of aunts and uncles.
