Sims Wallace Reddin

Sims Wallace Reddin, of Coolidge, formerly of Prairie Hill, passed away July 8, 2019, in Waco, at the age of 80. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 13, in the Prairie Hill Cemetery, with Brother Josh Gafford, of the Freestone Cowboy Church, officiating. Pallbearers will be Kyle Hancock, Kyler Hancock, William Lane, Bubba Carter, Joey Jones and Coty Jones.

Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m., Friday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home.

Sims was born April 9, 1939, in Jayton, to Wesley and Margaret Shipp Reddin. After living in Prairie Hill for many years and loving it, he considered Prairie Hill home. He was a ranch manager for Tepe Ranch for 20 years, a job he truly enjoyed.

Sims was all about family time. He was happiest when the family was all gathered together, not only because he loved being with everyone, but it usually meant a lot of good food as well. His hobbies were few, however, he thoroughly enjoyed eating, watching the Western Channel and spending time outdoors. Sims was an easy-going man who was happy just enjoying the simple things in life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Margaret Reddin; and sister, Billie Joe Reece.

Sims is survived by his loving wife, Patsy Isbell Reddin, of Coolidge; children J.W. Reddin, Terry Reddin, Candace and Giles Mills, Wil and Jerri Floyd and Carl and Rikki Floyd; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In appreciation of the special loving care and comfort given during our time of need, the Sims family requests memorials be made to Providence Hospice of Mexia or Waco, in lieu of flowers.
