SHIRLEY ELAINE HOUGH HOWARD
Shirley Elaine Hough Howard, 67, of Donie, passed away early Friday morning, May 6, 2022, in the Lufkin Memorial Hospital.
Shirley was born Aug. 24, 1954, in Moline, Ill., to Richard Hough and Alma Prine. She was a longtime resident of the Donie community. She was a housewife, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was also a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Mexia.
Shirley is survived by her beloved partner and father of her children of 47 years, Douglas Howard Sr.; daughter, Christy Ann Dickerson and husband Jason of Pineland; sons, Douglas Howard Jr. and wife Jennifer of Centerville, and Michael Keith Howard and wife Theresa of Centerville; grandchildren, Montana Bockel, Cayne Dickerson, Brett Nicar and wife Lacy, Addie Nicar, Jackson Howard, M. J. Howard and Colton Howard; great-grandchildren Cooper Edgar, Fletcher Edgar and Ryder Smith; mother, Alma Prine Tillberg of Moline; sisters, Barb Blunt and husband, Dave of Molina Il and Amber Pitkin and husband, Chelan of
New Mexico; brothers, Terry Hough and wife, Evelyn of Kent, Washington and Ryan Hough and wife, Ashley of Hawaii; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Hough; granddaughter, Paisley Howard; nephew, Richard Lee Hough; and cousin, Jeremy Hough.
Visitation with the family was 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 9, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. A memorial service was held at 10 a.m., May 10, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Johnson officiating. It was her preference to be cremated after her memorial service.
