SANDRA NELL INGRAM

Sandra Nell Ingram, 80, of Mexia, was accepted into the arms of Jesus on May 15, 2021, in Dallas. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, May 23, at 2 p.m. at Mexia Cemetery with the Rev. Marcus Sheffield officiating. There will be no formal family visitation.

Sandra, better known as “Biggie” by her family and the entire community, was born on Aug. 30, 1940, in Mexia, to Frances and D.O. Alexander. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Charlie S. Ingram Jr.; two sisters, Patsy Copeland and Freda Kay “Cookie” Gremminger; and her brother, David Alexander Jr.

She was a loyal member of First Baptist Church Mexia for many years. She loved singing in the choir and working in the children’s department. Anyone who spoke to her knew that she never ended a conversation without saying “love you more.” She spent nearly 40 years working at the dentist office. After retirement, she enjoyed a few years working in the school system loving all the children as an elementary substitute and aide.

Left to cherish her memory are her three children, Brian Ingram and wife Carol, of Fairfield; Tracye Lane and husband Mikey, of Cross Roads; Alan Ingram and wife Andrea, of Mexia; nine grandchildren, Tiffany Gibbons, Kacie Compton, KyLea Ingram, Kari Corn, Heather McDonough, Whitney Plante, Hannah Emert and twin grandsons, Kody Ingram and Kreig Ingram, and all of their spouses; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, per Biggie’s request, donations may be made to First Baptist Church Mexia’s Children’s Department. Biggie, WE LOVE YOU MORE!
