SANDRA JEAN DOUGLAS COBORN

Sandra Jean Douglas Coborn, 72 of Houston, passed away Oct. 6, 2021. At the time of her death, she was a resident at Western Hills Nursing and Rehabilitative Center in Temple. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at the Pt. Enterprise Cemetery with Ray Jones officiating.

Sandra was born Sept. 25, 1949, in Mexia, to John T. (Buck) Douglas and Bernice Wright Douglas. She lived at Pt. Enterprise until graduating from Mexia High School in 1968. Sandra lived most of her adult life in Houston where she was employed at Alliance Graphics and Printing for the past 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, John T. (Buck) Douglas, grandparents, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.

Sandra is survived by her mother, Bernice Wright Douglas of Salado; sister and brother-in-law, Jimmie and Paul Cromwell of Salado; uncle, Bobby Wright of Briggs; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Western Hills Nursing and Rehabilitative Center for the care they provided Sandra during her brief stay at its facility. A special thank you goes to Jeff and Sheila Birmingham of Alliance Graphics and Printing for the kindness and support they gave the family during Sandra’s illness. She considered everyone at Alliance Graphics and Printing as her extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Gibbs Memorial Library, 305 E. Rusk St., Mexia, TX 76667.
