Roy Eugene Mcneel

Roy McNeel passed away on Oct. 30, 2019, at Greenbrier Nursing Home in Palestine at the age of 78.

He was born to Roy and Verbie McNeel on May 19, 1941, in Tehuacana.

Roy honorably served his country in the Vietnam War during his seven years in the U.S. Air Force.

By profession, Roy was a business man in the auto sales industry, which he loved. When he wasn’t working, he was spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing and collecting arrowheads.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents, and by his brothers Willie McNeel and Jerry McNeel.

He is survived by his daughter, Tanna and husband David Kerr; daughter Cherée and husband Joey Wilcoxen; granddaughter Brittany and husband Daniel Price; grandson Dustin Wilcoxen; and siblings JoAnn Lane and Roger McNeel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 2, at Corley-Porter Chapel in Wortham, 6-8 p.m. Graveside services will be on Sunday, Nov. 3, at Wortham cemetery at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Justin Colquette officiating.
