Ronny Floyd Duke

Ronny Floyd Duke, of Garland, passed away Jan. 19, 2020, at the VA Hospital in Dallas, at the age of 84. There will be a visitation with the family from noon until 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 26, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow in the Prairie Grove Cemetery.

Ronny was born Sept. 16, 1935, in Mexia, to Floyd Duke, of Mexia, and Jane Duke, of Odessa. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force for nine years; the love and patriotism for his country remained true throughout his life. He was a retired employee of Texas Instruments.

Ronny’s family was the light of his life; he loved nothing more than spending time with them. He was also very creative and could build or fix most anything. He enjoyed being outdoors as much as possible, taking in all that nature had to offer. Ronny was an active member of the Saturn Road Church of Christ in Garland.

He was preceded in death by parents; and his loving wife of 63 years, Huberta Duke.

Ronny is survived by his children, daughter Debrah Harman and husband Jim, of Dallas, their daughter, Jenni and husband Curtis and children William, Daniel, Andrew, Henry and Jacob Madeley, of Odenton, Md.; son John, of Austin, and daughter Amy, of Charleston, S.C.; daughter Dinah Robnett and husband Edward, of Tulsa, Okla., their son Nathan and wife Nicki and children Ace and Oakley, of Grand Cayman Islands, daughter Rebecca of Tulsa, son Matthew, of Tulsa, and son John Russell and wife Summer, of Fort Worth; son David Duke and wife Tinker and family, of Mexia; son Rodney Duke and wife Angelle, of Spring, their son, Austin and daughters Lauren and Ashley, of Spring; son Ronall Duke, of Garland, and his daughter, Madison, and son Joshua; brother George Davies; and sister Patricia Duke Pullam.
