Ronnie Jermaine Abor II

Ronnie Jermaine Abor II was born Oct. 8, 1980, to the parentage of Ronnie J. Abor Sr and Sharon Ann Jones Abor. He passed away on April 8th.

Ronnie was a proud graduate of Mexia High School Class of 1999. Ronnie excelled academically the entire span of his education years, graduating in the Top 10 percent of his class. Ronnie was a member of the National Honor Society, Who’s Who and was an amazing saxophone player for Mexia Junior High and Mexia High School bands.  

After graduation, he attended Texas A&M University, obtaining credentials in Business Management and Computer Technology.  Ronnie worked for La Quinta Inn and Suites where he became manager within a year of employment.  He later moved to Fort Worth and resided in Lewisville at the time of his demise.  

Ronnie accepted Christ at an early age at Allen Chapel AME Church in Coolidge.  

Preceding Ronnie in death were his grandparents, Robert P. Smith, LoRitte A. Smith; Rubia Dell Abor-Nemons; sister,   Demeatrick Latoya (Torrie) Jones; niece, Patience L. Abor; uncle, Robert Smith II

Ronnie leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted mother, Sharon Abor Jones; his dad, Ronnie Abor Sr. (Barbara); brothers, Jeffrey T. Abor and Justin Abor (Christi), both of Waco; big sisters, Brandi Nicole Abor-Chisolm (Will) of North Carolina, Brittany Carter and Kyndra Jones of Waco.

Ronnie was loved by Jay Clay and Tammy of Palestine, along with Natalie Jones; step-sisters and brothers bound by love; grandfather, Howard L. Nemons of Mexia;  10 nephews and 7 nieces; special God-child of Waco, Michele Price-Creel and devoted friend and brother, Jeff Creel; aunts, Amy, Wanda, Vanessa and Sharron; uncles, Charles and Greg; numerous cousins, family and friends.

Service was held at 2 p.m. April 14 at Mexia High School Auditorium.  Service and arrangements were entrusted to Pearly Gates Funeral Home.
