Rita was born in Anzoátegui, Venezuela and spent her early years in the Rancho of El Caris; there she enjoyed her large extended family where they frequently gathered to celebrate holidays and many occasions. Family was very important to Mom and having them with her was a great joy.

Rita Lila met William G Frost in El Tiger, Venezuela, and they were married on Jan. 5, 1945. They raised their three children until her husband’s retirement from Menc Grande Oil Company; then they settled in the States. She was extremely strong, smart and dedicated to her children. Overcoming many obstacles, she started and finished her career with Mexia State School, where she retired after 27 years of teaching, nursing and caring for her patients. After retiring, Mom enjoyed decorating her home, growing her beautiful flowers and gardening. She had many friends and was very social and active in TPEA, was a lifetime member of Limestone County Senior Citizens group, where they went on many trips and tours. Every year Mom traveled to Venezuela to spend her birthdays with her sisters and family. Rita Lila loved seeing new places and meeting people.
