REGINA MAE PHILLIPS

Regina Mae Phillips, 71, of Mexia, passed away on March 8, 2022, at her residence. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 19, at 11 a.m. at Mexia Cemetery with Ray Jones officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jones Funeral Services in Mexia.

Ms. Phillips was born on Jan. 11, 1951, in Mexia, to Macon Howard and Willie Mae Harris Phillips. She graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor’s Degree. During her time at Baylor, she was on the Dean’s list twice. Before retiring, she worked at Walmart in the Photo Lab as a Technician.

Regina was preceded in death by her parents, Macon and Willie Mae Phillips; sister, Charlsey Adams; brothers, Macon and Jon Phillips; and grandson, Matthew Sanford.

Survivors include her children, Tina Williams, Jon Bruce Childs and Brad Phillips; brother, James Phillips; sister-in-law, Sherry Sullivan Baker; grandchildren, Lance Bell, Aaron Childs, Jayden and Jazzlyne Phillips, Zachary and Dalton Reece; great-grandchildren, Jaydee, Ryker, Tegan Bell, Alice Childs and Bynlynn Reece.
