R uthy N ell H all -B usby

Ruthie Nell Hall-Busby answered the call to be with the Lord on July 2, 2019. She was the second child born to Luther Hall and Elbessie Stewart-Brown on Jan. 7, 1957, in Waco. Ruthie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She attended and graduated from Jefferson Moore High School with the class of 1975.

Ruthie married Bobby R Snell and to this union three girls were born. She later married Albert Lee Busby on Dec. 3, 1999, in Waco, where they shared their love until her father called her home.

Ruthie was a dedicated employee at Regis Nursing and Regent Care. Upon her death she was employed by McLennan County Juvenile Detention Center.  Her infectious smile and personality affected all who came to know her. She was a diva in her own right, never leaving home without her purse, perfume and most of all never leaving without her face fully made up.

Ruthie was preceded in death by her mother, Elbessie Stewart-Brown; father; Luther Lee Hall;  stepbrother, Elbert Hall (Jr.); granddaughter, Heaven Richardson; great-granddaughter, Aleyah Webb; brother in-laws, Melvin Busby Jr, and Willie James-Busby.

Ruthie is survived by her husband of 20 years, Albert Lee Busby; daughters, Nikita (Ronald) Webb, Tonisha Snell (James), Bobbie (Lynn Jr.) Graham;  stepson, Michael D. Morgan; sisters, Sandra (Tommy) Jefferson of Long Beach Calif., Jacqueline (Kevin) Moore of Trotwood, Ohio; brothers, James (Betty) Hall and Billy (Jean) Hall, both of Waco; sisters-inlaw, Eddie (Arnold) Wilson, Ruby Reed and Debra Busby; brothers-in-law, Winston, Tommy, Clemond and Gregory Busby; grand-children, Ta’Marviyanna Montgomery, Kylah Williams (Simon), Eric’que Brooks, Sammy (Keneisha) Webb, Jasmine (Solomon) Brooks, Darius (Tiareshia) Webb, Charveon Booker and Eljyrione Howard; great-grandchildren, Jha’Zarii Brooks, Eric’que Brooks Jr., Londyn Brooks, Kennedy Robinson, Samaya Webb, Kashdyn Montoya, Kyngston Carrol; special nieces, Lakeshia Hall, Aleisha Hall,  Eloris Hall; nephews, James “Mookie” Hall,Tommy Jefferson Jr., Bryant Satchell, Julius Hall, Jarrod Hall, Cassi’ Pendergrass, and Alex Jefferson; best friend,Yvonne Cashaw; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Service and arrangements entrusted to Pearly Gates Funeral Home and were held July 13 at Antioch Baptist Church in Waco.
