Mrs. Bolden was born Feb. 8, 1955, in Cleburne, the daughter of Othe and Virgie Whitehead. She was the youngest of eight children and learned to play the piano at a young age, a talent she would use for her life of ministry. Her piano playing and singing was enjoyed by everyone. She and her husband did children’s ministry for several years, pastored a church in Franklin for four years and have pastored at Glad Tidings in Mexia for 36 years. As a pastor’s wife, she had a ministry for hospitality and always welcomed anyone into her home. “Ms. Pat” also cared for many children in her lifetime, both in her home and as director of Sonshine Daycare in Mexia. She was an amazing wife, mom, and “Meme” who loved her kids and grandkids with all her heart, always putting her family first. Pat led many people to the Lord through her ministry beside her husband, David. She was a mighty prayer warrior, and was always available to counsel and pray with those in need. Pat touched many lives, was widely loved and will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Bolden was preceded in death by her parents, Virgie and Othe Whitehead; brothers, Farris Whitehead and Bill Whitehead; and grandsons, Benjamin Taylor Mobley and Jesse Lynn Mobley.

Among survivors are her husband, George David Bolden; children, Dana and Richard Skinner of Troy, Ala., Paula and Martin Mobley of Hubbard, and David and Gina Bolden of China Spring; nine grandchildren, Breanna Bolden, Seth and Makenzie Bolden, Trentin and Morgan Bolden, William Mobley, Angela Mobley, Jonathan Mobley, Michael Mobley, Joshua Skinner and Hannah Skinner; six great-grandchildren, Emmarie, Brantley, Branson, Kellie, Kailyn and Kohen.
