Patricia Ann Denton Myers

Patricia Ann Denton Myers, formerly of Mexia, passed away Sept. 11, 2018, in Fort Worth, at the age of 72. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, at Blair-Stubbs Chapel, with Judge Ray Jones officiating. Interment will be in the Post Oak Cemetery in Fairfield.

Patricia was born Aug. 15, 1946, in Teague, to Otis and Ethel Lambert Denton. She grew up in Freestone County and graduated from Fairfield High School, Class of 1964. While attending high school, she was a twirler in the band and was elected Band Sweetheart. Patricia furthered her education, receiving an Associate Degree in Business. Prior to retirement, she was Court Clerk for Limestone County, Pct. 4.

Patricia loved nothing more than spending time with her family. Her greatest joy was spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with her little dog, Toffee. She also enjoyed country music, dancing and was an Elvis Presley fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Ethel Denton; and brother, Charles Ronald “Ronnie” Denton; companion John Crabb; paternal grandparents, Wilson and Lou Denton; and maternal grandparents, Elmo J. Lambert and Betty Mowdy Lambert.

Patricia is survived by her loving daughter, Audra Myers Knowles; former spouse/father of their daughter, Charles Wayne Myers; grandchildren Olivia Lauren-Ashley Knowles, Tristan Michael Wayne Knowles, Trinity Jadon Sean Knowles; great-grandchildren, Ellie Grace Moore Knowles and Layla Jane Knowles; son-inlaw John Knowles; nieces Angelina Brown Parkey and Krystabel Snodgrass; her beloved dog, Toffee; and many cousins and friends.
