MARIA DELALUZ CANDANOZA
Maria Delaluz Candanoza, 89, of Mexia, passed away on Oct. 17, 2020, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 22, at 1 p.m. at Jones Funeral Services Chapel. Interment will follow at Mexia Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are Josh Zamora, Marcos Castillo, Saul Candanoza, Jose Salas, Javier Candanoza Jr. and Teodoro Candanoza.
Mrs. Candanoza was born on Aug. 20, 1931, in Mexico, the oldest of eight children, to Maximino and Eustolia Mancha Rios. She was a homemaker, making sure all of her family were well taken care of.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Candanoza; daughter Leonor Esquivel; son Teodoro Candanoza, and two grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Juana Salas and husband Alejos, Isidro Candanoza and wife Dolores, Manuel Candanoza and wife Guadalupe, Jorge Candanoza, Maria Molina and husband Baldemar, Beatriz Vazquez and husband Mauricio, Javier Candanoza and wife Toli, Mirna Serrano and husband Ruben, and Guadalupe Zamora and husband Larry; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and numerous extended family.
