Kyle Schill

Kyle Schill, 45, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021. A Celebration of Life was held Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 10 a.m. at Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Robinson, with Pastor Cary Killough presiding. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation was Tuesday, Oct. 19 from 6-8 p.m. at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home.

Kyle was born on Oct. 24, 1975, to Donald Fred Schill and Mary Jane Schill in Houston. As a child he often spent his weekends and summers at his grandparents’ ranch in Donie. The family later moved to Donie to help run the family ranch, SW&S Cattle Company, where they raised and showed Charolais cattle. Kyle graduated from Groesbeck High School in 1994 and then attended Trinity Valley College, earning a degree in Ranch Management.

In 2005, Kyle met his wife, Shay, and they were united in marriage Feb. 18, 2006. Together they created a life in Robinson with their four beautiful children: Taylen, Laken, Finley and Channing.

Kyle was a devoted husband, a loving father, son, brother, uncle and a loyal friend to all. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football and old westerns; however, his absolute favorite pastime other than being at his kids’ events was life at the ranch and sharing it with his children.

Kyle was employed by RDO Equipment Company in Hewitt, for the past 15 years, where he was in his element of never meeting a stranger and working on a “heck of a deal.” He made lifelong friends not only with his colleagues, but with the customers he served.

Kyle is reunited in heaven with their two daughters, Lainie Grace Schill and Harper Reese Schill; his beloved mother, Mary Jane Schill; his paternal grandparents, Gilbert Pier Schill and Hazel Louise Schill; his maternal grandparents, Arthur Benjamin Lewis and Lillian Lucille Lewis; and his cousin, Case Bradley Beken.

He will be forever loved and missed by his devoted wife of 15 years, Shay, and their loving children, Taylen Paige, Laken Dean, Finley Marie and Channing Reese; his father and best friend, Donald Schill and wife Kathy of Donie; his adored big brother, Craig Schill and wife Elyse of Donie; his dearly loved sister, Debby Smith and Lee Ivey of Houston; his nieces, Kimberly, Danielle, Kaitlin and Ellie; nephews, Trent, Tyler and Luke; his beloved uncles and aunts, Sonny and Carol Lewis, Lucille Gaskamp, Larry and Peggy Lewis; his in-laws, Len and Sherri Williams; along with his numerous cousins, great nieces, great nephew and a countless number of friends from far and near.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kyle Dean Schill (KD) Memorial Fund at Educators Credit Union (locations: Waco, Hewitt or Robinson, Texas).
