Graveside services for Kathy Dvorak, 67, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, June 4, Greenwood Cemetery in Teague. Bro. Jared Rogers will officiate.

A visitation will be held prior to the services beginning at 1 p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home; before leaving in procession to the cemetery.

Ms. Dvorak passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Lakeshore Village Healthcare Center in Waco.

Kathy was born Nov. 21, 1953, in Chicago, Ill., to parents Albert John (Al) and Helen Marie Floyd Dvorak. She grew up in Illinois but moved to Kenosha, Wisc., later to Houston and several other locations including Mexia and Teague in 2005. Ms. Dvorak worked for several years at Mexia State School and Teague ISD for about three years. She loved making crafts, gardening, and enjoyed shopping at Hobby Lobby, Michaels and dollar stores. Kathleen was a member of One Church in Mexia.

She is survived by one daughter, Angie Dyer and husband Gary of Cotton Gin; one son, Douglas Craig McKinney Jr. and Bailey of Kempner; five grandchildren, John McKinney and wife Molly, Gary Dyer Jr., Marquitta Benford and husband Matthew, Heather Wilson, and Jason McKinney; two sisters, Diana Dvorak and Alberta Dvorak; niece, Nicole Fontes and husband Tony; aunt, Rose Waters and husband Ryan; and other relatives and friends.

Ms. Dvorak was preceded in death by her parents, Al and Helen Dvorak.
