JOSEPH WEBSTER ‘JOE’ BARTLETT IV

Joseph Webster “Joe” Bartlett IV, of Mexia, passed away April 23, 2020, in Waco, at the age of 70. Joe was born Aug. 19, 1949, in Bryan, to Joseph W. Bartlett III and Mittie George “Georgia” Harris Bartlett.

Joe proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, including a tour of duty in Vietnam. While serving, he was especially proud of his position as a canine trainer.

Joe always enjoyed any and every opportunity to visit people; talking was a favorite pastime. He was willing to discuss most any subject, but politics was one of his favorites. He spent numerous hours counseling Vets, as well as others, however, he was passionate about helping people.

Joe was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Georgia Bartlett; and his wife, Barbara Bartlett.

Joe is survived by his wife, Linda Neal; children Michelle “Jolene” Fisher, Amanda Ogilvie Bell and Whit Ogilvie; grandchildren Ashlynn Flynn, Brittany Fisher-Terry and Ryan Bell; great-grandchildren Brantley Terry and Landon Flynn; and brother Lynn Bartlett, of Las Vegas.
