Jewel Carter Hinchliffe, 90, passed away July 18, 2019, at her home on Lake Mexia. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, July 21, at the Church of Christ in Teague with Jared Matlock and Richard Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Mexia Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Hinchliffe; and sister, Opal Comer.

Jewel is survived by her daughters, Kay Mohundro of Nacogdoches and Gail Peyton of Teague; grandchildren, Eric Batts, Preston “Pep” Batts, Hillary Chandler and Amanda Sellers; and several great-grandchildren.
