JEANE LANE WOODALL

Funeral services for Jeane Lane Woodall, 68, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Brother Terry Skinner will officiate. Interment will follow the services at Dew Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Saturday with the family present from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ms. Woodall passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at her residence in Mexia.

She was born in Teague on June 19, 1952, grew up in Teague and attended Teague schools. Jeane loved to work and had several jobs in her lifetime, including delivering newspapers in the area for the Waco Tribune and Dallas Morning News, working as a beautician, and mainly as manager of Dollar General Stores in Mexia, Hubbard, Hillsboro and most recently Itasca. She continued to work even as her health failed until she was forced to stop. Ms. Woodall enjoyed reading and crocheting. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Fairfield.

She is survived by one daughter, Donna Ann Bozeman of Gun Barrel City; one son, Aaron Christopher Woodall and wife Devin of Mexia; seven grandchildren, Kevin Barkouskie, Justin Barkouskie, Rebekah Pitts, T-bow Bozeman, Alice-Ann Woodall, Tanner Coy Woodall, and Nolan Lee Woodall; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Delores Lane Gilbert Hartless and husband Marvin of Dew; one brother, Marvin Lane of Dew; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Ms. Woodall was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Lane Jr. and Pearl McCeig Lane; and one sister, Joyce Laverne Barr.
