Bo was born Nov. 29,1927, in Mexia to Thomas Grady and Laura Beatrice Morton.  At a young age, he began working for the Mexia Textile Mill and completed 30 years of service prior to going into business for himself.  He spent approximately 10 years as a Mobil consignee and 10 years in the service station business, along with his wife, Janie, working by his side.

Bo had an outgoing personality, spoke to people as though he had always known them and always willing to help anyone. He loved his family and, “Paw,” especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He just had a love for all kids, they held a special place in his heart.  Bo was an avid fisherman and was always ready and willing to play a game of dominoes/42.  The Mortons, at one time, had their own meeting place in the neighborhood known as the “Barn,” where family and friends gathered for games, fellowship and special occasions.  Another of Bo’s favorite pastimes was spent riding his golf cart around visiting with neighbors.  He was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 54 years, Janie Easterling Morton; two children, Jackie Don Morton and Wanda Lummus; brothers, Finis “Tubby” Morton and John “Buckwheat” Morton; and brother-in-law, Nolan “Sonny” Henderson.

Bo is survived by his son, Tommy Morton and wife, Debbie, of Mexia; grandchildren, Clint Morton of Florida, Jason Morton of Mexia, Jeff Lummus of Jewett, Jeana Mc-Lelland and Shawna Hamilton of Mexia; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sister, Juanita Henderson of Mexia; son-in-law, Billy D.
