Gary C. Webb, age 76, died on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020, at his home in Redlands, Calif. Gary was born in Mexia on June 14, 1944, to Sidney and Mildred (Gunn) Webb.

Gary served in the U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1965. After serving his country, he moved to California and spent some time working at Disneyland. In 1966, Gary went to work at General Telephone, working as a lineman and installer. After 38 years of working at GTE, Gary retired as a supervisor.

After retirement Gary liked to travel and made many trips to Texas to visit family and friends.

Gary was preceded in death by stepson Rick Johansen.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Linda; stepson Ben (Ann) Johansen; daughter Stacey Phillips; grandchildren Hannah, Travis, Kayla, Aubrey, Miah, Madeline; brother James Webb; sister, Donna (Richard) Hagar; special niece Tammie McKamie and husband Bryant; and many nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held at Mexia Cemetery.
