Cynthia Rene Eubank

Cynthia Rene Eubank, 65, of Mexia, passed away Feb. 13, 2024, at Ascension Providence Hospital in Waco.

Cynthia was born in San Gabriel, Calif., on Aug. 31, 1958, to Clifton and Altha McFerrin Anderson.

As a child Cynthia and her family moved a lot due to her father Clifton being in the military. In the early 1970s Cynthia and her family moved to Mexia where they made the town their home. Cynthia attended Mexia schools through the 11th grade.

In Cynthia’s younger days, she loved to play volleyball. She also enjoyed hanging out with friends and going to the lake or pool, just spending time with friends and enjoying life.

Cynthia spent the last 15 of her years as a caretaker.

In 1977 she gave birth to her only son, Jason Eubank. Jason was her pride and joy.

In 2009 another ray of sunshine came into her life as her only grandson, Brandt, was born. When Brandt came he stole Nana’s heart at first sight, and they built a loving bond ever since.

Cynthia would always put others’ needs before her own even if it was for someone she had never met. If they needed help in any way, she would always be there to lend a helping hand or even a shoulder to cry on if needed.

Cynthia is preceded in death by her parents, Clifton Anderson and Altha McFerrin Anderson. She is survived by her son, Jason Eubank; grandson, Brandt Eubank of Mexia; and half-brother, Waylon Anderson of Sacramento Calif.

Graveside services are set for 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, at Shiloh Cemetery with Aaron Woodall officiating.
