Charles David Howard passed away on Sept.15, 2022, at the age of 85. Charles was born Sept. 30, 1936, in Jewett to Freddie and Elizabeth (Taylor) Howard. He was a retired pipefitter. Charles is survived by his son, Andy Joe Howard and spouse Norma; granddaughter, Lacey Marie Howard; grandson, Brandon Joe Howard and spouse Amy; grandson, Jordon Bryce Howard and spouse Hannah; two great-grandsons, Braylon Joe Howard and John Patrick Howard; one surviving brother, Sidney Howard; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his son, Charles David Howard Jr.; both parents, Freddie and Elizabeth Howard; also brothers, Hugh Douglas and James Eugene; and sisters Cathy Elizabeth, Lilly Tina, Judith Ann, Nellie Mae and Melva.

Charles will be cremated. Family visitation and memorial services were at 5 p.m Sunday, Sept. 18, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home in Mexia.
