BOBBY LAUDERDALE

On Saturday, April 10, 2021, after a brief battle with cancer, Bobby Lauderdale, loving father of two, passed away at the age of 54.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 14, at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend Road in Waco. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 15, at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Mexia City Cemetery.

Bobby was born July 14, 1966, in Mexia, to Bill Lauderdale and Patricia (Higgins) Lauderdale. Bobby graduated from Mexia High School in 1984. He was a notable home builder in Central Texas and took utmost pride in his work.

Bobby had a passion for woodworking, and it was evident throughout his life’s works. He also had a love for martial arts, fishing, flying and exotic cars. Among those things, he loved the Lord and would pray over anyone and everyone he met. He was known to be a risk-taker, always living life on the edge, and his infectious, bright white smile could light up any room.

Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Bill Lauderdale; and his mother, Patricia Higgins Lauderdale.

He is survived by his two daughters, Hailey and Kylie Lauderdale; his identical twin brother, Billy Lauderdale; sister Donna Arnold; nephews Zac Lauderdale, Logan Arnold and Benji Taylor; niece Katy Lauderdale; and special friends, David Powers and Paul Work.

The family would like to acknowledge a special thank you to Dr. Tim Martindale for his personal and professional care.
