BETTY FAILS CARPENTER

Funeral services for Betty Fails Carpenter, 79, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Brother Dalton Currie will officiate. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Limestone County.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday beginning at noon, prior to the service.

Mrs. Carpenter passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at her residence in Pasadena.

Betty Fails Carpenter was born on Oct.19, 1942, in Freestone County to parents, Bettie Moore and Fred Fails. She grew up in Cotton Gin and attended Teague High School with the Class of 1961. Betty married Robert D. Carpenter in 1959. In September 1965 they moved to Pasadena. She was a homemaker and her hobbies were listening to Christian music, Jimmy Swaggart being her favorite. She also enjoyed crocheting, travelling, playing bingo and Bunco. Mrs. Carpenter was a Baptist by faith.

Mrs. Carpenter is survived by three children, Bobby Carpenter and wife Stormy, Lisa Fincher and husband Gary, and Patricia Edmisson; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Carpenter; one daughter, Vicki Bohannon; one grandson, Shaun Fincher; one great-great-grandson, Robert Scott Bohannon; and her beloved dog, Brutus Wayne.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to Care/Share Mission, Inc., PO Box 818, Cold Spring, TX 77331.
