Allen Miller

Allen Miller, 89, of Dickinson, completed his service on earth Nov. 3 and has now taken his place with the Lord. The loving husband of Frances Miller passed peacefully from this life surrounded by his only surviving children, son Tommy and daughter Elaine.

Allen was born April 30, 1934, in Freestone. He grew up in Teague. He married the love of his life, Frances Holmes, of Mexia, on May 22, 1954, and they had three wonderful children. Hewasaproudmemberof the Springfield Lodge Masons.

The family was blessed to have had such a great example of a true Texas gentleman. His beliefs in God, family and values were lived every day. He never met a stranger, and this is a testament to his many friends locally and around the world. His life was a true adventure and he always embraced it to the fullest.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances; his daughter, Diana; parents, James W. and Nettie Flora Miller; also his brothers, Marvin, Grady and Charles.

Survivors include his son, TommyMillerofMexia;daughter, Elaine Wyatt and husband Jeff Wyatt of Dickinson; five grandchildren; and 12 greatgrandchildren. Many more extended family members held a special place in his heart.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Nov. 15 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel, Mexia. Masonic Rites will be observed.

Memorials may be sent to Hospice or the charity of your choice.
