A.D. “Sonny” Rich- ardson was born on May 6, 1937, in Teague, Texas, to Carmie Lee and Andrew Dillsworth Richardson. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, LaJuan Richardson, and his daughters, Karen Chasteen and Juana Ann Richardson.

Sonny spent most of his childhood in Donie, Texas, where he roamed the countryside freely on his horse. His passion for riding horses continued into his adult life and he could often be seen roaming the countryside day or night on one of his paint horses. He once got caught in R ichardson the rain and a police of- ficer gave him a ride while he led his horse alongside the patrol car to find cover from the rain and a phone to call LaJuan. She hurried to get his truck and trailer and raced to his rescue with the trailer gate swinging and left his friends and fam- ily with many memorable stories and tales.

A.D. is survived by son, Kenneth Richardson and wife, Charlotte of Mexia, Texas; daughters, Kathy Rayburn and husband, Robert of Robinson, Texas; Kala Richardson of Johnson City, Texas, and Kandi Trantham of Waco, Texas. His thirteen grandchildren are John Glud, Lauren Glud, Micheal Scott, Kendra Richardson, Kenneth Richarson, Jr., Brandon Byrd, Daniel Trantham, Sarah Portillo, Brooke Smith, Matthew McSpadden, Bryan Myers, Kyle Chasteen, and Courtney Chasteen. He also had thirteen greatgrand- children and one great-great-grandchild. His remaining siblings include sisters Gloria Murphy and husband, Don of Wortham, Texas, and Caro- lyn Dunn of Wortham, Texas; brother, Danny Richardson and wife Jane of Streetman, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

A special thank you to Rosie Valdez who provided loving care for A.D. and LaJuan for five years, and to Texas Home Health Hospice for their support and end-oflife care.
