Ellis Ray Livingston

Ellis Ray Livingston went to be with the London Saturday, June 1, in the Hillcrest Baptist Center, Waco, among loving family and devoted friends.

Viewing will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, June 14, with the family present. Funeral services will be at11 a.m. Saturday, June 15, at Asia Primitive Baptist Church, 200 Washington Ave., Teague, with the Rev. Lonnie R. Pelton, pastor. Interment ill be at Sandy Creek Cemetery, Coolidge.

Ellis Livingston was born to Randolph and Ella Mae Livingston on June 19, 1950, in Freestone County. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Asia Primitive Baptist Church, Freestone County, by the Rev. C.C. Collins. He received his formal education at Richardson Community and Booker T. Washington High School in Teague.

Ellis married Brenda Marion. This union was blessed with two daughters, Tracey Livingston Daniels and Demetrice Livingston McKee. Ellis later married Diane Hobbs and was blessed with two sons, Ellis Hobbs and Deldrick Hobbs.

He served in the Vietnam War ands awarded The Purple Heart in May 1971.

Ellis was preceded in death by his parents, Randolph and Ella Livingston; brothers, Perry and Willie Gene Livingston; and sisters, Gazzette and Bettye Jean Livingston.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Diane Livingston and two sons, Ellis and Deddrick Hobbs, all of Mexia; three daughters, Tracey Daniels of Carrolton; Demeatrice McKee and Kia Gamble Hicks, both of Mexia; sisters, Carolyn Livingston Davis of Kansas City, Mo., and Emma Brooks of Mexia; brothers, Charles Livingston of Mexia; Randolph Livingston of Mexia; Randolph Livingston of Del Rio, N.M., 17 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
