The Mexia High School Blackcat Band participated in the Region UIL Marching contest at Midway High School in Waco last Saturday and received a Division 3.
The Wortham High School Chapter of the National Honor Society inducted six new members in a candle lighting ceremony Sunday, Oct. 3. The new inductees included Preston Batts, Dana Calame, Kaydence Carr, Grecia Juarez, Grace McCoslin, and Michelle Misini.
The American Civil Liberties Union of Texas is suing a Houston-area school district over a dress code policy it says has led to multiple students being disciplined for having long hair.
This past week I got a text from an Eternal Friend and former parishioner and retired Hays County judge. She told me that a 39-year-old man we both know hung himself in prison last Saturday. We both knew him and we both know his mother.
