Seminar offered on suriving the holidays with your grief
Calvary Baptist Church of Mexia will be offering a very special “Surviving the Holidays” seminar for adults and, for the first time, children who are wondering how they will survive the weeks surrounding Thanksgiving and Christmas.

This week at Mexia LTC we started off playing bean bag toss on Monday morning. Residents played bingo on Monday afternoon. Residents enjoyed Bible study by Bob Kersten on Tuesday morning. Residents hallway bowled on Tuesday afternoon.
Big Baby Bling celebrates with ribbon-cutting
Sherri Hall, already a consultant for Paparazzi Jewelry, is opening Mexia’s newest business, Big Baby Bling Boss LLC, which is located at 200 N. Paris St. The ribbon-cutting for her new store was at 2 p.m. Monday.
Gas prices continue to climb
One thing we feel right now is the dropping of the temperatures, and it is so nice. One thing we see right now is the rising of gas prices, and that is so uncomfortable. And there just isn’t a whole lot being done to address the issue at the moment.
