Limestone County Commissioners recognized the Groesbeck Masonic Lodge No. 354 A.F. & A.M. for 150 years of existence and service by naming the week of May 29-June 4, 2022 “Groesbeck Lodge Masonic Week.”

Dear Heloise: A few years ago, I was helping my mom cut strawberries, and I got an idea. You know those egg slicers, where you put an egg in the tray? You pull down the thing with wires, and it slices the egg. I tried that on a strawberry, after cutting the greens off, and it worked just as well. The strawberry might get stuck to the wire, but it cuts it pretty evenly. It saves time, and you don’t have to try to cut individual slices with a knife, so it’s probably safer, too. -- Terry Knox, via email
