Editor’s note: Coolidge High School’s Class of 2022 graduated with 17 members Friday, May 27. Logan Bohnhoff earned the top spot, and Sarah Rodriguez finished as the salutatorian. Following is Bohnhoff’s valedictory address.

Memorial Day recognizes the value of sacrifice. Each year, we stand in solidarity and honor the brave who gave their lives for America – the land of the free.
One-by-one, 104 high school seniors and one proud, courageous mom walked across the stage at Blackcat Field to receive diplomas at the Mexia High School graduation ceremony Friday night.
Limestone County’s Amy Thomas Ward defeated Anderson County’s Dan Scarbrough in the May 24 runoff election for 87th District judge.
