Mexia native Aaron Gail Thompson’s number-one priority on the scene of any accident was to save people, whether they were hurt, trapped – or fine, but without a place to stay. Taking care of business: City council goes through hefty agenda

Mexia City Council hustled through a busy agenda on Tuesday, July 19. It reappointed people to boards and committees, authorized agreements and contracts and approved budget amendments. The council reappointed Laura Rothrock and Gary Lawson to two-year terms as members of the Board of Adjustments. These are routine reappointments of currently serving members, city manager Eric Garretty said.
